After my years in the classroom and now creating art with my own little one I’ve come up with a few lists that I think that will be helpful for when you begin to stock your shelves for your emerging artist. The first list is filled with basic beginner supplies that any art cabinet should be filled with. The second list is for when your child has mastered the tools of the first list and is ready to take their creativity to the next level. The third list is of materials that you may have once considered to be trash, but now with your child’s skills these pieces of trash will now becomes treasures.

The products I have recommended are all products that I have used within my classroom and my home. I would never suggest buying anything that I have not had experience with and have been fully satisfied with. I have elected to be an affiliate seller with Blick Art Supplies, which is a family run business that ships internationally. I do earn a small commission from each purchase you make (at no cost to you!) through the links below.
